The CONCO Multifunction Inspection Robot is presented by the manufacturer as an indoor/outdoor platform that combines three jobs in one unit: routine patrol, close inspection and a lifting column for high-level checks. The same base also supports autonomous driving, automatic charging, obstacle avoidance, gate crossing and elevator-assisted movement between floors. That makes it a different proposition from a fixed-height patrol robot: the inspection point can be at eye level, at shelf height or close to the ceiling.

Three working modes on one base

The product page describes the model as a patrol, close-inspection and lift three-in-one platform. In patrol mode it follows a route and records exceptions. In close-inspection mode it can stop at a selected asset and bring the inspection head to the point that needs a closer look. In lift mode the column raises the head from 1,050 mm to 1,700 mm, so the same robot can read a high meter, look along a pipe run or inspect the top of a rack.

The supplied manual focuses on the indoor elevating configuration. It lists narrow-passage movement, custom deployment, IoT integration, autonomous elevator riding, multi-robot scheduling, responsive obstacle avoidance and height-adaptive lifting as the main functions.

The lift column closes the height blind spot

Most indoor patrol robots see the world from one height. The elevating column changes that. At its lowest position the platform is 1,050 mm high; at full extension it reaches 1,700 mm. The manufacturer's application images show the head raised to inspect high storage racks, pipework, electrical panels and ceiling-level equipment. The manual describes the purpose as turning every corner that would normally require looking upward into data that can be read at eye level.

The column is paired with a 100 kg payload and an 80 kg vehicle weight. The payload figure is for the platform, not a guarantee that every accessory can be fitted; the final tooling, inspection head and mounting bracket need to be confirmed for the site.

Core data at a glance

The source highlights three numbers: a lift range of 1,050-1,700 mm, a 100 kg payload and a maximum speed of 1.5 m/s with a default of 1 m/s. The drive system is rated for a 15° slope and a 4.0 cm gap, with a minimum passage width of 50 cm. Those figures explain why the platform can work in both a narrow service corridor and an outdoor yard.

The robot runs for about six hours and charges in about two hours. Charging is automatic: the robot returns to its charging station when the task or the battery requires it. The working mode in the manual is automatic patrol.

AI recognition for equipment and people

The recognition list is broader than a security-only camera. It includes fire and temperature, helmet wearing, animal intrusion, leakage, warning-sign recognition, environmental sensing, face recognition, personnel intrusion, smoking, instrument reading, hazardous gas and custom models. The combination of visual checks and instrument reading is what makes the platform useful for a plant room or a warehouse, not just a lobby.

The source also lists custom recognition, which matters because every site has its own exception list. A chemical site may care most about leakage and gas; a warehouse may care about high-rack obstruction; a campus may care about intrusion and smoking. The same platform can be configured around those priorities.

  • Safety and environment: fire and temperature, leakage, hazardous gas and environmental sensing.
  • People and premises: helmet wearing, face recognition, personnel intrusion, animal intrusion and smoking.
  • Equipment: instrument reading and warning-sign recognition.
  • Site-specific models: custom recognition can be added for a particular building or process.

Navigation, scheduling and cross-floor movement

The robot is described as able to pass through controlled gates, call and ride a lift, and work across floors. Multi-robot scheduling is listed as a function, so several units can share a site and a task queue. Responsive obstacle avoidance is also listed, which is essential in a corridor shared with people, carts and forklifts.

The platform is presented as indoor/outdoor compatible. Outdoor work adds surface changes, weather and longer routes; the 15° slope and 4.0 cm gap rating are relevant, but the final route still needs a site survey. The manual's indoor configuration and the page's outdoor claim should be checked against the exact version being ordered.

Where the robot fits

Seven venue types are listed in the manual. Each one has a different reason for lifting the inspection head.

  • Office buildings: day-and-night patrol across floors, with the lift column covering high corners and service areas.
  • Supermarkets: movement through crowds and narrow aisles, with high-level checks where fixed cameras cannot see.
  • Warehousing and logistics: inspection of high racks and storage positions, using the lift to reduce the high-level blind spot.
  • Electrical rooms: close reading of meters and panels, reducing the need for manual work at height.
  • Factories: inspection of production lines, equipment status and pipe runs while the plant is running.
  • Industrial parks: wide-area ground patrol combined with elevated checks at the edges and service buildings.
  • Hospitals: quiet patrol in live clinical environments, with high-level inspection that does not disturb patients.

Reference projects

The manufacturer names Beijing Institute of Technology, Air China Beijing Aircraft Repair Factory, Cangzhou Water Quality Laboratory, Dezhou Petrochemical, Yulin Power Station and Hubei Coal Preparation Plant. These are a mix of campus, aviation maintenance, laboratory, petrochemical, power and coal sites, which matches the platform's emphasis on instrument reading, leakage and high-level inspection.

The list indicates the type of site the robot is built for. It is not a substitute for a site survey: the actual route, floor surface, network coverage, gate and lift interfaces, charging position and alarm workflow still need to be checked before installation.

Specification notes

The base footprint is 550 x 450 mm, the stowed height is 1,050 mm and the lift range is 1,050-1,700 mm. The vehicle weighs 80 kg and is rated for a 100 kg payload. It climbs 15°, crosses a 4.0 cm gap and needs 50 cm of clear passage. Speed is up to 1.5 m/s with a default of 1 m/s; runtime is about six hours and charging takes about two hours.

The full manufacturer table is in the specifications tab. The manual supplied with the page is for the indoor elevating configuration; the product page also describes indoor/outdoor operation. The exact version, accessories and protection rating should be confirmed before ordering.

Because the lifting column and payload are central to the value, the final agreement should confirm the accessory mounting, the maximum raised load, the route clearance at full height, the gate and lift interfaces, the charging position and the spare-parts response time. A route that works with the column down may not work with it raised.

Purchase and deployment

The source price is CNY 140,000, with official direct supply and production scheduled against the order. The enterprise section mentions tiered rebates for multiple units, payment terms for qualified buyers, a dedicated account manager, interface and SDK customisation, and a service network of more than 30 locations with a 48-hour on-site response target. These commercial terms should be written into the final contract rather than assumed from the product page.

A pilot should test the real route at both the lowest and highest column positions, at the busiest time of day, including doorways, lift lobbies, ramps and the places where the robot has to pass people or carts.
